What equipment is needed for water-based ink wastewater treatment?

During the operation of water-based ink printing plants, wastewater containing water-based ink is generated, which needs to be treated appropriately to meet discharge standards. The following are sewage treatment equipment that water-based ink printing factories may need to equip:


1、 Preprocessing equipment

Grille: Used to remove large particles of impurities such as paper scraps, plastic fragments, etc. from wastewater to prevent blockage of subsequent treatment equipment.

Regulating pool: regulating water quality and quantity to make the water quality and quantity of wastewater relatively uniform, providing stable conditions for subsequent treatment.


2、 Main processing equipment

Air flotation equipment: such as dissolved air flotation machines, which generate microbubbles to bring suspended solids, ink particles, etc. from wastewater to the water surface, achieving solid-liquid separation. This type of equipment is particularly effective in removing suspended solids from water-based ink wastewater.


Biological processing equipment:

A/O Biochemical Tank: Adopting anaerobic aerobic biological treatment process, organic matter in wastewater is decomposed into harmless substances through the action of microorganisms. The A/O biochemical tank can effectively remove pollutants such as BOD5, ammonia nitrogen, and phosphorus from wastewater.

MBR membrane bioreactor: a new type of wastewater treatment equipment that integrates biodegradation and membrane separation technology, which can further improve the effluent quality and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for effluent quality.


Coagulation sedimentation tank: By adding coagulants, suspended solids, colloids, etc. in the wastewater are formed into larger flocs, which then precipitate under the action of gravity to achieve the goal of removing pollutants.

3、 Deep processing equipment

Sand filter or activated carbon adsorption device: used to further remove tiny suspended solids, color, odors, etc. in wastewater, and improve the transparency of effluent.

Ozone oxidation device: utilizing the strong oxidizing properties of ozone to decompose organic matter in wastewater, while also being able to sterilize and disinfect, and improve effluent quality.


4、 Auxiliary equipment

Sludge treatment equipment: such as sludge concentration tanks, sludge dewatering machines, etc., used to treat sludge generated during sewage treatment processes, achieving sludge reduction, stabilization, and harmlessness.


Dosing system: used to add coagulants, flocculants, acid-base regulators and other chemicals to wastewater to ensure the smooth progress of wastewater treatment.

Automatic control system: realizes real-time monitoring and automatic adjustment of various process parameters in the sewage treatment process, improving the stability and efficiency of sewage treatment.


When equipping wastewater treatment equipment in water-based ink printing plants, appropriate pre-treatment, main treatment, deep treatment, and auxiliary equipment should be selected based on factors such as production scale, wastewater quality, and discharge standards to ensure that the wastewater treatment meets environmental protection requirements. Meanwhile, choosing equipment and service providers from well-known brands is also an important factor in ensuring the effectiveness of sewage treatment.
