How to solve the anti sticking problem of flexo water-based ink

Date: Jul 19 2024  From: Star Color

The occurrence of anti sticking phenomenon in flexographic water-based ink during the printing process is a problem involving multiple factors such as ink quality, printing technology, equipment status, and environmental conditions. Here are some methods to solve the anti sticking phenomenon of flexographic water-based ink:

Choosing high-quality water-based ink: Some printing companies may use cheap but unreliable water-based ink to reduce costs, which is often an important reason for the phenomenon of anti sticking. Therefore, high-quality water-based inks with good drying performance and anti adhesiveness should be selected. According to customer feedback, the use of Starcolor produced flexographic water-based ink can significantly reduce the occurrence of anti sticking.

Adjust drying conditions:
Increase wind speed and raise drying temperature: Ensure that printed materials can quickly meet drying requirements after printing, reduce moisture residue in ink, and thus reduce the risk of anti sticking.
Control the matching of printing speed and drying speed: Ensure that the two are matched to avoid ink sticking due to insufficient drying during the printing process.

Layout design adjustment:
Pay attention to the layout of ink lines and try to avoid multi-layer printing to reduce the interaction and adhesion between ink layers.
Control the viscosity and dryness of ink to ensure that it maintains good fluidity and dries quickly during the printing process.
Regular cleaning of printing equipment: Use compressed gas or specialized cleaning agents to clean the mesh roller, scraper and other components, remove residual ink and impurities, and reduce the occurrence of anti sticking phenomenon.

Check equipment status:
Ensure that the drying temperature of the printing equipment is in a normal and stable state, and that the inlet and outlet air volumes are matched to avoid poor ink drying caused by equipment failure.
Control workshop temperature and humidity: Suitable temperature and humidity conditions are helpful for the drying and curing of ink, reducing the occurrence of anti sticking phenomenon. Generally speaking, the workshop temperature should be maintained at 2025 ℃, and the relative humidity should be controlled between 50% and 70%.

Avoid humid environment:
When storing and extracting solvents, they should be done in a cool and ventilated place to avoid impure solvents or ink deterioration caused by humid environment.
Adjust the winding tension appropriately: avoid excessive tension causing deformation or adhesion of printed materials during the winding process.

Testing solvent purity:
Regularly check the purity of the solvent to ensure that it is pure and free of impurities, and to avoid ink sticking caused by impure solvent.

The above measures can all be used to assist in solving the anti sticking phenomenon of flexographic water-based ink during the printing process, and a better solution is to choose a stable quality ink supplier. The water-based ink produced by StarColor in Huizhou rarely has anti sticking phenomenon, and now free samples can be provided for trial. Welcome to consult.
